A pretty fun and action-packed knock off of Conan and the Blackstar. Jack Kirby inspired some of the art style. The trio of Arielle and the big strong ape-like man reminds me of a Jedi, a princess and a wookie. Cheesy but I loved it as a kid!

Actually Jack Kirby did a big chunk of the production artwork tests for the series, which shines through to the final animation for sure. Heck, the villain Gemini is pretty darn close to Darksied...

that is true. Gemini did look like Darkseid. Oh, with the statement I was looking at it from the POV of animation in-betweeners (gosh, I miss traditional animation)

Thundarr was one of my favorite cartoons when I was a child. I hope they release the entire series on DVD or Blu-ray one day.
