I'm thrilled to introduce 'Communities on Lunch' -- which let you create your own personalized review web site for any specific interest you may have. It's your own mini Lunch! What Yelp has done for restaurants and what Rotten Tomatoes has done for movies, you can now do for your unique personal passions, all on the Lunch platform. From strollers to green living to foreign film, the more niche the topic the better! This has been my vision for Lunch from the start, because the best content is shared when you're surrounded by people who get you. I believe it's going to change the face of how people share the best content online.
We've spent the past year creating the broad platform to get things organized, build the integrity of our overall community, and get people thinking more critically. From there we've been moving toward smarter content - beyond just 'that rocks' or 'this sucks' -- and now it all gets centered around specific areas of interest.
One of the most exciting things about this new launch is that you can use the Similarity Network to find your common ground with people from both within your interest group, and beyond it. Once we can start breaking down that 'us' and 'them' mentality, people will finally be able to hear what one another are saying and understand the point they're trying to convey.
Several Communities have just been started, so take a look and start thinking about your own! From living gluten-free, to broadway musicals, college fashion, vegans, beer, cars, and Walt Disney World fans, it's a really interesting mix already. For more information on how to become a Community Founder, and ‘Editor-in-Chief' of your very own review website, you can click here for the details.
You can follow us on Twitter @Lunch_com for news and site updates, @bestoflunch for the cream of the crop reviews, or follow me @jrlunch. Become a fan on Facebook, where we feature some of the best member reviews and lists of the day! We'd love to hear what you think via email or Twitter.
