My favorite bands

Music is life. Its the common language we all share, one of the very few things that can bring people together like nothing else can. Regardless of politics, religion, race, color, sex, whatever it may be we can all come together to enjoy some freaking good music. Here I've made a list of my all time favorite bands, hope you all enjoy it

The Who

The who is a band that speaks right to my soul. No matter my mood, depressed, exited, happy, sad, it doesn't matter. Kieth Moon and John Entwistle make up by fare the best rhythm section the world has ever seen. while Roger Deltrey sings Pete Townsheds amazing songs perfectly. The Who are, and forever will be, the greatest The who is a band that speaks right to my soul. No matter my mood, depressed, exited, happy, sad, it doesn't matter. Guns N' Roses

If there's one band responsible for my musical awakening (you know, from listening to Christian music to listening to GOOD music) its GNR. Apatite for Destruction was one of the first albums I thought when I first started getting interested in music. It blew me away from the second I heard it. Even though this band was kind of short lived they ruled the musical world for the brief time they were around. Damn you Rose for ruining a great thing!

Metallica

If Guns N'Roses got me hooked to good music, it was Metallica that hooked me to some good old THRASH metal! \m/ Their old stuff is by far the best, Master of Puppets, Ride the Lighting, Kill em All, ...And Justice for All, even the Black Album and Death Magnetic (their newest release) are pretty good. They made have turned into dusch bags for the whole napster thing, and Load/Reload/Saint Suck were pretty bad, but overall this is a great thrash band.

Megadeth

What would thrash be without this rebel fighting to bring down the mighty Metallica which wronged him by kicking him out of the band before they released Kill em All? Nowhere. The two complete each other. Its hard to pick between the two, their both amazing bands with some of the sickest riffs ever. I give Metallica a slight edge but not by much. Mustang, you keep on fighting!

Led Zeppelin

One of the most famous bands of all time of course, you can't have classic rock without the good old Zep. They pretty much took rock to a whole new level when they first started playing. I give The Who (of course) an edge over them because of their song writing and just incredible rhythm section ( the Zep doesn't come close in that regard) but Jimmy Page is by far the better guitarist of the two.

Skillet (band)

This was the VERY first band I discovered that really blew me away. Yes, its a Christian band, yes they do a lot of balleds, yes I know a lot of their early work sucks and their newest album isn't exactly a masterpiece either, but for two albums, Collide and Comatose, Skillet was up their with the very best of them.

Alter Bridge

God forgive me for putting 'Creed with a new singer' on this list but damn it, these guys ROCK! Well, maybe not their first album 'One Day Remains' which is pretty much Creed all over again, but Blackbird is just a classic album that will forever have a place in my collection. That Kennedy guy can freaking SING!

I've never heard of #9 or #12 before (I'll check them out though!), but other than that, this list is full of too much awesome! Thanks for sharing this list, Nathan, and great video selections! :)

Too much awesome indeed, if there were any more awesome here I'd have to be sued. From Slashes top hat to Heitfields stash, its all good. :)
