Satoshi Kon ( October 12, 1963 - August 24, 2010 ) Was a Japanese Anime Master who created highly imaginative and fantastic Anime of the highest order. He died unfortunately only 46 years old of cancer in August 2010 while making what will be his last film. His fantastic imagination and attention to high quality in his work will be sorely missed.

Memories, 3 short Anime films the first one Magnetic Rose is written by Kon and is an interesting story of space travellers who gets trapped in digital illusion.

Unfortunately this one has been out of print for some time and I have not seen it.

Brilliant Imaginative mysterious psychological fantasy thriller.

Yes he will be missed, only 46 years old that's nothing, think of Miyazaki most of his Masterpieces were made after he reached that age. Perfect Blue will undoubtedly be re-relesed, nothing arouses publishers like the death of an Artist.
