This is the first anime series I remember seeing back in the early 1980's (however, I saw it when it was on American television under the title, "Star Blazers")
I enjoy the tone of this series. Also, it really stood out to me when it was airing on television in the mid-1980's, because the series openly dealth with the deaths of characters (which was generally being whitewashed by American produced animation and by other English anime dubs being done at the time)
Nice list. I love FB and CB. Used to watch Voltron when i was a kid as well. I guess I've become somewhat of a snob in my old age though. A couple of years back I watched it in the early morning when I was in the hostpital and I was like "Ugh! I can't believe I liked this!" The old skool dub is just awful imo.

Yes, the English dub of Voltron for the most is actually kind of bad. However, I have seen all of Beast King GoLion (the original Japanese source material for Lion Voltron) and most of Dairugger XV (the original source material for Vehicle Voltron). In both cases, I have to say that the original Japanese series are stronger than their American counterparts... especially when comparing Dairugger XV and Vehicle Voltron (the storyline in Dairugger XV actually makes sense!).
I've seen bits and pieces of these shows. I NEVER understood Ranma with people turning into things when they get wet. Didn't Yoko Kanno make the music for Wolf's Rain? I think that was the name of it. It was a good soundtrack from what I remember.

Yeah she's on the soundtrack of WR, though off the top of my head i'm not sure how much. I think she did much more on the CB soundtrack.
