District 9
For starters, I'm reviewing a movie I've not seen.  However, my "encounter" with the trailer left me with this brief, yet interesting take...  Let's see, where to begin...   …

I've been losing a lot of comments that I've left lately. Anyhow I've been a horror fan since I was 4 and 1/2 years old and I've seen a lot of really horrible movies over all those decades. As a rule I tend to prefer low budget independent films like SLASHERS, NIGHT FEEDERS, THE HAZING, etc over big budget studio films because I think they have a lot more creativity and originality. I'm looking forward to reading your reviews when you cover actual movies and not just tv spots and trailers because I'm always interested in what other fans are watching. Truth be told, there were about 15 at the end of DISTRICT 9 when it did devolve into something resembling a kid's action flick and that almost completely ruined everything that had gone before. Thankfully they managed to pull it out of the fire at the last moment.

I love horror movies and have since I was 4 and 1/2. I've found it best not to judge on the trailers though. For one thing they can be misleading--in fact they often contain material that was shot especially for the trailer and doesn't even appear in the film, Their sole job is to get your butt into the theater seat. I happen to like low budget independents more than big budget flix because they usually have more creativity. I don't need a bunch of special effects to keep me awake, and I don't care if I see a zipper on a monster suit because I already know the monster isn't real. I'm looking forward to eading some of your reviews when you actually take on films insteaf of the trailers. But, by the way, I happen to intensely dislike the fact the DISTRICT NINE did sort of disintegrate into a kid's action movie for about 15 minutes at the end. It almost ruined everything that had gone before.

it's a play on A&F, yes.. Here's how it came to be.. I sometimes pull off the prepster look (A&F, HCO, AE, A87, etc) look.. Moreso, I like horror movies..the zombie ones especially. Thus, whence combine equates to AberZombie. Voila! =]

Clever. That's awesome, a "preppy" zombie lover! :P I don't think it'd be a stretch to think that you'd like the site's Horror Community then ;)

Welcome to Lunch, Ezekiel!  Is AberZombie a play on Abercrombie & Fitch? :P  To start exploring Lunch, you might want to check out some interesting reviews, such as these ones on Bacon of the Month Club, key lime pie, Google Voice, and District 9.  A couple other great ways to get started on Lunch is by playing rating games on ExhilaRATE to refine your Similarity Network, and by creating lists, such as mine of Favorite Exotic Fruits.  Have fun scoping out the site, and let me know if you have any questions! :)
