I had this same soap box for many years when I was a Boy Scout and did a lot of camping. It served me well. The lid is fairly easy to open and stays shut when jostled around in an overnight bag. The translucent plastic case also gives you an idea of just how much soap you have left, or if it is in there at all. It easily holds most standard size bar soaps.
Over time and through repeated opening and closing, the clasp will no longer hold in place as firmly and eventually will fail. The more you use it, the sooner that will be. Also, while the case will effectively contain a damp bar of soap, get excess water in there and it will leak out. It does not have perfectly water-tight seal. For the price of admission though, you really can't expect better. If the shipping is still the current seven-plus times the item price, then you are better off picking up one of these in a dollar store.
