The Pioneer SE-A1000 are perfect for those occasions when you will be listening to music or watching movies for long period of times, and all you want to do is just sit back and be in your own "space" with no interruptions. Keep in mind these are not noise canceling headphones, so you will be aware of your surroundings. They are so lightweight that they feel like you are wearing a "feather". OK maybe not as light as a feather but close. :-)

They are constructed by using a two wire frame and a soft hand-band that rests on top of your head. The ear cups sit comfortably over your ears without leaving your ears with that sweaty numb feeling like some headphones can do.
The only negative thing I can say is that the cord can be bothersome since it is 20 feet long. The cord is wrapped in a protective material to avoid it from being snapped if stepped or tripped over which is a plus, but it would of been nice if it came with two different cord lengths or even an adapter to attach another cable if you needed them longer. 20 feet is a lot of cable.
Overall very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, excellent sound and you can feel at ease knowing it comes from Pioneer - a very reputable brand known for their high quality electronic goods.

As far as the quality of sound and the overall listening experience, I like these headphones very much. I just wish that they would fit on my head better. Last time I checked, my hat size was something like a 7 3/8 inches, which doesn't strike me as being that small. But the fact is that the headphones sit a little low on my ears and there is no way to tighten things up.
