The most beautiful and elegant chateau in the entire Loire Valley. If you're in Paris, take the 1 hour speed train to Tours and then stay a night or two (I stayed 4 nights) to visit some of the best architecture in this area of France. Chateau de Chenonceau is a must and would take you at least about 4 hours to go through it! Visiting all the famous chateaux in this area may take as many as 3-5 days but it's worth every minute of one's time!

The Château de Chenonceau (French: [ʃa.to də ʃə.nɔ̃.so]) is a manor house near the small village of Chenonceaux, in the Indre-et-Loire département of the Loire Valley in France. It was built on the site of an old mill on the River Cher, sometime before its first mention in writing in the 11th century. The current manor was designed by the French Renaissance architect Philibert Delorme.
