You might want to set up an un-awesome or anti-awesome for things that are polar opposites... like for food poisoning or stubbing your toes or having a seagull poop on you at the beach. I could definitely add some stuff to a community like that with my bad luck. ; )

I don't know about it being a west coast thing, maybe it's a SoCal thing 'cuz up here in NorCal, it's also "that sucks" or "that's weak". Took me a second to figure out "that's beat", but I like it, too :P

Awesomeness is pretty subjective, but when I created this community, I had stuff like thisisawesome.com, winblog.org, awkwardfamilyphotos.com and theoatmeal.com, etc, in mind. Pretty much anything that's full of win as oppose to full of fail. Save the latter for @jrjohnson's That's Beat community! ;)
