A Must Read for Anyone With a Life Threatening Condition!

Dodie Osteen's story is amazing and shows what power prayer and positive thinking can do to improve our health and well being, even when the odds against us seem impossible.

Diagnosed with incurable liver cancer back in 1981, Dodie was told that she had only weeks to live. Being the wife of a preacher and a preacher in her own right, Dodie refused to let the cancer take her and instead turned to extensive prayer and reciting scripture to will the cancer to leave her body. After weeks of doing this, Dodie's health improved and not that long after the doctors were amazed to find that their tests could no longer detect cancer in Dodie's body.

Though the book was first copyright in the early 80's there appears to be some added passages that would indicate that Dodie was still doing well, many years later.

The book itself is relatively short with about 50 pages devoted to Dodie's story and the last third of the book being a collection of the Bible passages and religious quotations that Dodie relentlessly recited. One idea that Dodie puts forth is that it is not man's obilgation to suffer and that G-d fully heals us, not partially heals us, through prayer.

I did not give the book a full five stars because Dodie's tale is too short and I wanted to know a lot more about the life of this woman and to know what she is doing today.
