This movie was a lot better than I thought it would be. I know it was made by John Hughes, mastermind behind Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller's day off, but this seemed just like a normal cliched teen movie. However, this was pretty good, taking the title of John Hughes' second best film and one of the best teen movies ever made. I don't care if this is an obvious favorite movie. It's an obvious favorite movie because, well, it rocks. Emilio Estevez is my fav character. He's the most authentic and the nicest. I like nice.

This movie very accurately describes the trials and tribulations of five very different teenagers. Each of the five teens has critical issues that effect him or her and its is very interesting how each individual brings can bring out reactions from the rest of the group.
