When "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" was about to hit theaters for the first time, it seemed that no matter where you looked, you would see the face of Darth Maul. I became so tired of seeing his face that I genuinely became disgusted of his image when he would pop up. This is a good update to the 1999 Darth Maul from the speeder bike, but that's all it is, an update. This figure doesn't have nearly as many points of articulation as modern figures. The legs look too skinny and long for the character (although fortunately they do bend at the knees). The head paint looks better and neater than the original figure.
