Internet phenomenal, scourge to society or mirror to human civilization? Who knows but one thing's for sure - you haven't lived until you've tried to sell a sofa on Craigslist.      As a website, it's an amazing survivor of the 1995 era where WebPagesThatSuck outed the most outrageous offenders of terrible navigation, poor display, graphics and just general awfulness. I've heard that founder Craig Newmark likes it that way. I can guess from this single …

Yes, I know Craigslist is more than just buying and selling "stuff".  I haven't found much use for Craigslist outside of selling stuff, though.  I haven't even purchased anything off the site.  Just today I gathered up some stuff and listed it in my own virtual garage sale.  You can read about that here:      So what some other uses for Craigslist?   …

Great site for donating used toys and to compare rent prices in neighborhood.

I actually use this site quite often. It has allot of different aspects to it, and I know it has received some bad press but I defiantly think it has more to offer then to offend.

So helpful and extensive networking for finding a house, apartment, furniture or job even.

Ahh, Craigslist, the good, the bad and the ugly. Craigslist is really the Internet within itself. Just about anything you can get across the web, you can get at Craigslist. You can find a job, market your services, buy a house, find a doctor, connect with others, sell your stuff and so much more. Since you can do so many things, it can actually become quite addictive.     First the good. You can really find so many deals on Craigslist. Usually, it's used stuff, but most of the …

The "Best Of" section of CL is the best! Oh man, so much funny, witty, yet entertainingly inappropriate postings there.

If I were to close my eyes and be on the homepage I would still be able to navigate the website. I moved to the Northern Bay Area in 2006 and since my arrival has become my new best friend. Althogh I think I am more obsessed with looking at what others are posting than actually using the site for any purpose. I did post some furniture on there once...but nothing came of it. Oh and I foud my new apartment on there...I almost forgot.    Whether your …

Hi my name is Dorsi and I'm a Craigslist-aholic. (And I'm not afraid to admit it!) I love Craigslist ! In fact , just today I picked up an awesome rocker for my daughter-in-law to rock my new grandson in - and the cost? A big whopping FREE!!. My other favorite finds on Craigslist? My best buddie Karma, a caramel colored Border collie whom I got as a puppy. (She is by far my greatest Craigslist treasure!)  Hmmm.... and I guess I should mention my current job as an art instructor also came …

I usually frequent the Free section a lot.  I've found some really great deals.  I was able to find moving boxes when I moved, packing peanuts for the busy shipping season and even a new dish set.  I've also found alot of other items as well. Not too long ago I answered an ad about a treadmill.  The treadmill was a few years old, but everything worked and she even had the manual.  She bought it for just over $500 and I paid $200 for it...bargin!!    There …

Where would I be without Craigslist? He's been the ultimate BFF to me over the past several years. He's hooked me up with my past four jobs. He's helped find my last three apartments. He makes me laugh with his "Best Of" section. He listens to me when I want to rant. He's assisted me in selling off old crap when I needed to clean out my closet - or simply needed a few extra bucks. He's helped me furnish my apartments for cheap. He indulges me when the Chicago winters get bad and I start checking …
