Mother's Circus Animal Cookies are a frosted cookie that has been my favorite since I could remember. These frosted lil' devils are my Achilles Heel. I used to eat these (along with Mr. Pibb) when I was in college. I surprised I never keeled over from excessive sugar abuse. Oh, these things will be the death of me. I have tried other brands but nothing comes close to Mother's, Once you eat one of these little animals you'll be hooked, mark way words. Whenever I feel nostalgic I pick up a bag (just one mind you).

During the summer time they make a patriotic version (red, white & blue). Unlike the other knockoff brands, the frosting on these cookies will hold up.

Oooh, I love Mother's Circus Animal cookies; they have the strangest frosting that is so addicting. The funny little sprinkles are great, too. I need to buy myself a bag now (or tomorrow).

Those cookies are something else. My grandfather used to buy them and I would always sneak into his cookie jar and swipe a handful.

More Mother's Circus Animal Cookies reviews
Even if these cookies aren't the best tasting cookies off the shelf, they hold a place in my heart and stomach. I rate them a 5 for cuteness and for nostalgia. I remember these when I was growing up and my dad would tuck them into my lunch box along with a jam sandwich on Wonderbread.

Mother's Cookies is a brand that originally had a bakery based in Oakland, California that operated from 1914 to 2008.[1][2] A sister company, Archway Cookies of Battle Creek, Michigan, was founded in 1936. Both Mother's Cookies and Archway declared bankruptcy in 2008.[3] At its height, the company distributed cookies throughout the United States, and was one of the leading cookie makers in the country.[4] The Kellogg Company acquired the Mother's Cookies trademark and recipes in December 2008 and brought the brand back to West Coast grocery store shelves on May 14, 2009.[5][6]
