Can't figure out how to get this into the restaurant section ... i still need a guide through this site!
Best restaurant by far, Creekside Dinery, Inc., 160 Nix Boat Yard Road, St. Augustine, Florida. In addition to FINE food and a great atmosphere and reasonable prices, there is an interesting background.
A converted house (large) off 207/I95 area ... a couple, years ago, took in some wayward children, making them promise to convert the home to a restaurant and run it in lieu of doing 'time'. They did this, succeeded, expanded, now have three restaurants, have all grown and graduated from school and now hire wayward kids to run their places. This just shows that people can make a change!
It is good eating, had the best 12 oz black Angus steak and a killer drink to boot, price ..... $12.99 .....
So on top of all the great places to visit in St. Augustine, historical or not, give this place a try and help change history for some kids.
