If you are not familiar with the Flight of the Conchords this is a good introduction and a fairly interesting video.

The Flight of the Conchords is a HBO original series, about 2 guys from New Zealand that moved to NYC to start their music careers. As they struggle to get gigs, the show follow s them through their daily lives. Rather than watching them perform on stage their music and songs add story line to the show.

This is just one clip that reveals their musical talent, original dance moves, and great lyrics. The subsequently get mugged by the two guys the are confronting.

I, too, am not a huge fan of the television show. The stage shows, however, are beautiful.    Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros is my original introduction to Flight of the Conchords. I'd kick Steve's ass for my baby!

I actually really love the Flight of the Conchords, but sometimes I like their songs better when they're just on stage as opposed to in the show.  They're a little more raw and sometimes the jokes just come off a little funnier than when they aren't trying to act or dance.  The Hiphopopotamus and the Rhymenoceros are a great example of this.  Check out this clip, in which Bret and Jermaine seem a little more energized... plus in this version you get the Rhymenoceros' "freestyle".
