Best Christmas Albums for your Holiday Party!

There is an abundance of holiday albums and songs out there. Some are cheesy, some overdone, but these are classic and put you in the holiday spirit. Perfect for your holiday party!
Nat King Cole is the epitome of cool. His smooth, jazzy voice combined with classic Christmas songs is unbeatable. His rendition of "The Christmas Song" is probably THE top Christmas song ever! Perfect with a cup of hot chocolate around the fire.
Bing is legendary and so is this collection of songs. "White Christmas" is my favorite, but he also performs classics like "Let it Snow!" and "The Christmas Song" with timeless charm. This album is a great stocking stuffer!
A Charlie Brown Christmas
This album takes me straight back to childhood and time spent watching Charlie Brown's Christmas on TV. All of the songs have an enchanting and nostalgic quality. I love their sweet little voices and the great piano tunes. A must-have for the holidays!
Everything You Want For Christmas
Big Voodoo Daddy brings a jazzy, big band edge to traditional Christmas songs. Fun, funky and jolly!
Hipsters' Holiday
I LOVE this CD! It makes me laugh, smile and want to dance. It's Christmas done jazzy nightclub-style. Artists include Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong & The Commanders, Mabel Scott, Babs Gonzales and others. This music is perfect for a holiday cocktail hour turned dance party!
The Christmas Collection
A Frank Sinatra classic. I can never get enough of his music. This is a great collectors item with 18 songs, including two with Bing Crosby. Very heart-warming with a range of traditional carols to American pop staples!
When My Heart Finds Christmas
Harry Connick Jr. is such a great artist! In this album he takes traditional Christmas songs and makes them even better with his jazzy-piano/ big band style. This the perfect holiday album for a party with a mix of young and old. Great for Christmas Day!
Motown Christmas
Let's see...you've got Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Michael Jackson on one CD...you know it's gonna be good and fun! The songs play with variety from sing-a-long to cut-the rug tunes. A really easy listen!
Ultra Lounge: Christmas Cocktails
A swanky, martini and mistletoe album. A great cast of artists ranging from Nat King Cole & Peggy Lee to Dean Martin and Billy May. It's retro and a blast. Plus it comes with it's own mini cocktail guide...how fun is that!
Christmas Island
This is a just a fun and warm album. I think Jimmy Buffet is great and he delivers Christmas tunes island-style. It's a nice switch up if you've been listing to the same holiday carols over and over again. I love the Caribbean style tunes and laid back influence.
Most Wonderful Time
A plug for a Minneapolis group, these guys are great! I'm hoping to see them in concert next weekend. Their songs are harmonious, funky, fun and entertaining. A very talented a cappella group!
The Bells of Dublin
I'm a sucker for Irish music and The Chieftains do an amazing job popularizing traditional Irish music. They also pair up with the likes of Elvis Costello and Jackson Browne in this CD. I can listen to this album over and over again. It's truly unique and beautiful!
Yule B' Swingin
A mix of various artists, this is a great album for a holiday cocktail party. Songs are swinging and great for crowd mingling.
Elvis Christmas
A classic for all ages. And Elvis puts a bit of rock and roll into Christmas! This is a fun album, with lots of song variety from carols to pop. You gotta love his version of "I'll be home for Christmas".
A Christmas Together
Who doesn't remember and love the Muppets. Kermit and Piggy always bring a smile to my face. This album is similar to the Charlie Brown's Christmas in that it pulls on your memories of childhood and brings back nostalgia. Plus the combo of Muppets and John Denver is a great pairing. Lots of sing-a-longs on this one!

Excellent list. No funny ones though...I'd put some South Park in there! :D I might have to get my hands on that "Hipster Christmas" one.

What a great list - a lot of classics! You did a great job of including albums from many different genres. My personal favorites are the old crooner songs, like the Elvis Christmas classics :)

Great list Bethany! I would have to add Andrea Bocelli's 'My Christmas' to that. Though I don't really celebrate Christmas, I am a big Bocelli fan, this album is amazing!

Bocelli is amazing! I haven't heard his Christmas album, but I bet it's spectacular. Thanks for the suggestion.
