Okay, it's been a long time since the Twins were in their heyday. A really long time! But I grew up watching them and even got to go to the 1991 World Series Game 7 where the Twins defeated the Altanta Braves. It was amazing. And the team was amazing back then too, filled with superstars like Kirby Pucket, Kent Herbeck and Dan Gladden. They will forever remain my favorite team.
The Cubbies have made it close a couple times, enough to revive the spirits of the fans. Ultimately, I love this team because going to the games is so much fun. Wrigley field is beautiful, the games are almost always sold out and the fans are there to have a good time. Perhaps one of these days the Cubbies will break the Billy Goat curse.
There always seems to be drama for the MN Vikings. Be it a river boat scandal with questionable guests and activities, or a new QB. However, I'll always have home-state allegience. Did anyone see that amazing last second pass by Favre against the Niners? It's gonna be a fun season!

Back in the day I was obsessed with UCLA basketball and admit that I still have a leaning. They first got my attention in 1994 when they had one of the most amazing rosters: Ed and Charles O'Bannon, Tyus Edney, and Toby Bailey. These guys rocked it.
BC Eagles!! They weren't great when I was there, but had potential and continue to fight their way into the NCAA bracket each year. Last year the first and second round playoffs were in Minneapolis. Of course, I got tickets, was decked in my BC fan shirt and then was HUGELY disappointed. Not only did they lose, but they played one of the worst games I've ever seen. It was embarrassing. BUT it's a new year and I'm hoping it will be a better one. My dream: Eagles make it to the Final Four. Lofty? Yes, but that's what dreams are all about.
Most people love to hate the Red Sox. I can understand why, however going to college in Boston, there was nothing more thrilling that a game at Fenway. The crowds were rowdy and brutal to opposing fans and teams. The stadium is right in the heart of the city, surrounded by restaurants and clubs. Oh, and the Red Sox also happen to be pretty amazing at baseball.
A newbie on my list of teams (and sports). I've been happily surprised how much fun it is to watch them play. You have to admire their speed, skill and endurance. The Confederations Cup has really set expectations high for next summer's World Cup. Hopefully this team will continue to grow and gain popularity with it.
I've already said it, I LOVE college hoops. The Gophers stadium is old and quaint, and the team always seems to lose, but it's still fun to cheer for them (and get to see their Big Ten competitors all season).
