These are a few of my favorite things...

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens! Oh well, maybe not, but it sure is a catchy tune. This is a list of the things I adore. All of these things make my life happier, easier, more pleasant, exciting and imaginative. Inspired by Oprah's Favorite Things List, these are the items I would certainly want others to enjoy!

1
Bulldog Puppy
I just adore bullies! They are the biggest lovers, so cuddly, endearingly stubborn and have quite the little personalities. I don't know who said, "Only a face a mother could love." in regard to this breed, but they were wrong! These dogs are adorable and loaded with character. My own bully, Gemma, needs at least a dozen kisses a day and in turn makes me laugh all day long with her silly and human-like expressions.  Plus, caring for a pet is a great life lesson. It teaches you to be conscious of something other than yourself.
2
Women's Clothing store
My review probably says it all, but hands down my favorite place to shop for clothes and gifts. Every time I'm in their stores I feel inspired. It's like a high-end flea market treasure hunt and I always find something new, innovative and unique.
See the full review, "A shopping experience for the imagination.".
3
T-Mobile G1
What would I be without my cell phone? It would be a disaster if I ever lost this phone. The G1 allows me to access the internet, my gmail, and also GPS-enabled google map any destination. This is priceless!
4
Audi A3
The best car I've ever driven! It's fast, safe and has unbelievable handling. This car has been my salvation on my many road trips back and forth to Chicago.
See the full review, "A First-Class Ride".
5
Chai Latte
This is my favorite custom Starbucks drink, hands down. A little milk, a bit of tea, and a warm, cinnamon taste makes it the perfect the fall and winter treat. Chai has a much softer taste than coffee and yet still gives me that much needed caffeine kick!
6
Curries
I love spicy food! But there is something about a Chicken Vindaloo or a Tikka Masala that beats out all other foods. The rich curry combined with exotic spices is such a taste explosion treat. I usually order it with a vegetable samosa and the aloo naan (potato stuffed bread). Plus Indian food is the perfect cuisine for larger dinner groups. I usually ordering many different dishes and share them. Every one gets to try something different and new.
7
Dunkin Donuts
Three words. French Vanilla Coffee. My love affair with this coffee started at Boston College. A Dunkin Donuts was conveniently located in the Eagles Nest cafeteria and became a morning staple before class. My usual: French Vanilla with a splash of skim milk and one Sweet and Low=Perfection!
8
Basketball
I grew up playing and watching basketball. This an amazing sport of athleticism, talent and brains. NCAA basketball is my favorite to watch. March Madness is a month of excitement, suspense, wins, losses, heartbreak and triumph. Plus, I'm dedicated to the tourney bracket like no other!
9
Anne of Green Gables
Louisa May Alcott wrote the most amazing, beautiful and brilliant books. Her protagonist, Anne, is a spitfire with passion and eccentric tendencies that highlight the beauty of life, love and friendship. Her books have also become a TV series that usually shows on PBS once a year and is incredibly entertaining. It has been a favorite for many years.
10
National Public Radio (NPR)
NPR is always one of my first presets on the dial and it's how I keep up-to-date. I love the anchors, the in-depth stories, and the total lack of commercials. They're the only radio station that covers speeches and debates and keeps you informed without all the spin. I'll continue to listen and donate to keep those pledge drives short.
11
Basil
Fresh, green and tasty! I usually enjoy basil on fresh caprese with homegrown tomatoes. It also goes great with pasta and makes a killer pesto sauce. Just the smell of basil can throw me into a tizzy.
See the full review, "My favorite herb of all time!".
12
Water
I can't get enough of it. I'm really trying to consume more on a daily basis. There's nothing that quenches thirst like it.
13
Nars
Beautiful! Nars just has awesome makeup. I'm a huge fan of their lip gloss and their blush. The color options add just enough warmth without being too overpowering. Plus the blush has a bit of shimmer and sparkle that is perfect for nights out or dressed-up occasions.
14
Domaine Carneros Brut Rose Cuvée de la Pompadour
On my first trip to Napa I stopped at Domaine Carneros, sat on their patio and ordered a champagne flight. It was delicious and the vineyard was gorgeous! Of the sampling, the Brut Rose was my favorite. I promptly signed up for their champagne club to receive shipments of it monthly.
15
Sue Grafton Mystery Novels
There is nothing like reading a good mystery! My personal favorites are the Sue Grafton "A is for Alibi" series. Her lead character, Kinsey, is smart, savvy, quirky and the queen of solving crimes. I love the building suspense, tricky clues, and the climactic who-dunnit revelation!
