I love Ted Dekker.   But this book really began to frustrate and bore me, and I only finished it because I always finish the books I start.      Shauna is jaded, framed, set-up in the most un-ideal of circumstances.   She awakens in a hospital with amnesia and accusations that she is responsible for the mental retardation of her beloved brother by causing a traffic accident, and that she was in possession of drugs. She cannot remember anything, and therefore …

Sequestered from the public eye on her father’s estate, Shauna turns to Wayne Spade, her attentive but forgotten boyfriend, to help her piece together the events leading up to the accident. On her quest for answers, Shauna discovers a puzzling mental ability which raises even more questions. Her circle of trust soon narrows as it becomes apparent that some around her are determined to keep her from recovering the memories she desperately pursues in her search for truth. Kiss is more …

Kiss by Ted Dekker and Erin Healy is a suspenseful novel about the power and value of memory. Shauna McAllister awakes from a six week coma with no knowledge of the previous six months. What she finds is her brother severely injured from their car accident, charges of drug use and abuse, and her father on the brink of winning the Presidential election. When she tries to recover her lost memories, she's told in kind and not-so-kind terms to let the past die. But Shauna feels lost and without foundation …

After awakening from a six week coma, Shauna McAllister discovered she's lost six months of memories. She can remember she has a rocky relationship with her dad, a powerful senator and presidential frontrunner. She can remember how and when her mother died, the disdain she holds for her step mother, but not the man they say is her boyfriend. Worst of all, she can't remember what happened that caused her to be in a coma. Oddly enough, though, she can take other people's memory, and what she's discovering …

Kiss is an interesting blend of what-if and humanity at it's worst, at it's most resilient.    Full of paranoia, back-stabbing intrigue and political posturing, Kiss delivers a page-turning read.    More cat and mouse than outright adrenaline, Kiss, also asks some deep questions about the human condition. Healy has added softness to Dekker's usual black and white evil vs truth scenarios. But this isn't a purely girl read by any stretch. Not totally believable, …

Shauna McCallister has woken up from a coma with no memory of how she got there. The last six months have been erased from her mind. Friends and family say that she was in a car accident that left her brother severely brain damaged and that she had been hoarding drugs in her apartment. Her father is running for President and cannot deal with any scandal tainting his name. Therefore her stepmother wants Shauna having nothing to do with them during the campaign blaming her for everything. However …

I am a huge fan of Ted Dekker so I was thrilled to simply get my hands on this, to my surprise and delight this was a collaborative effort with a new to me author, Erin Healy who added marvelous roundness to Dekker's fantastic ideas and smooth style of prose.     The novel is many things; intriguing, suspenseful, something you cannot wait to get back into, a novel that sucks one in and keeps me glued past my bedtime. It's nice to read something that doesn't seem like a chore …

I love to read a book that has new paranormal "senses" included as part of the storyline! Well, Kiss by Ted Dekker & Erin Healy has definitely created an exciting one! Given the title, I won't say anymore about that...just know that it is an intriguing addition to this wonderful book!    Shauna McAllister, the main character, has lost a major part of her memory due to a car accident. She is also wanted by the police. At the scene of the accident, which resulted in her brother, …
