Riley Keep has finally returned home to Dublin, Maine, after a three-year drunken hiatus. Riley and his good friend, Brice, have been wandering the streets always on the prowl for the next drink. After all of this time, they finally return to Dublin where Riley believes lies a cure for the disease that has taken over his life.

Dublin remains much the same as Riley remembers it, except of course for the rising homeless population. It seems word about this so called cure has traveled far and wide. When Riley stumbles upon the cure himself, life as he knows it will be changed forever. Soon Riley is face to face with the demons of his past, the family he left behind, and a looming darkness that will threaten him and those he loves most.

The Cure is a fascinating tale fueled by hope and redemption. Here Dickson proves once again that he is not just a true wordsmith, but a master storyteller. The cleverly crafted narrative is laced with elements of suspense, mystery, and drama that effortlessly guide the reader along. Riley Keep is a memorable character that will draw compassion from readers. This is a guy we love to root for, despite his failings. Indeed, his desire to make things right is what draws us to him.

At its core, this is a beautiful story that grants encouragement and inspiration. Riley's journey of discovery as he seeks the true cure for his life is breathtaking to say the least. This is redemptive storytelling at its best.
