Super Mario Bros. has been considered a classic in the world of videogames, and rightfully so. I've heard that people don't really like this game and that it was like a "prototype". I, personally, think that it's a really good game. I haven't tried the other AC game's, but I soon hope to get AC2.

While I admit nostalgia may colour my perception of this game, to me this is one of the best platformers ever released, while nowadays it might be a bit easy for some gamers, the music, the artstyle, the 'wacky' level design, it all came together to form one amazing experience. Probably the greatest pack in video game of all time. It still gives me chills to think when the Game Boy was first released I was ready to blow this off because it came with the handheld system instead of Super Mario Land which I ended up buying together with it. Excellent addition to the franchise. Nintendo brought their A game with this fifth installment, which maintains the wacky and energetic style of the previous games; with its pretty high difficulty and additional modes, this is definitely a title I recommend for the dying console if you missed it.
