The J. Crew catalog for April, 2010, featuring spring fashion.
< read all 8 reviewsThe inside cover says it all: "Our collection is designed for mixing and matching."
Indeed, a lot of their pieces are shown throughout the catalog, something I've always liked because it shows how you can build a wardrobe.
The inside April Enchanted catalog led me to believe it would be filled with floral prints, but I only found a few. It seems J. Crew, known for its classic garments, has developed a bit of an edge. Everything I saw in the catalog I saw something similar on runways. I definitely like what I saw in J.Crew's spring collection, though I don't know if I will can pull off or will buy many trendy pieces. For this reason, I'm rating the collection a +3.
My favorites: the short-sleeved ruffle cardigan, perfect for wearing over sundresses to summer internships; a white canvas bag, ideal for carrying homework, a beach towel or exercise gear for after work; seersucker bathing suits, I'm a sucker for seersucker; and the Jackie cardigan, a wardrobe staple.
J.Crew updated its chinos, cardigans, ballet flats, suits and pencil skirts in slightly different colors and fits. These pieces are essential with J.Crew's brand identity and to your wardrobe. After all, they're classics.
