Well, this list was inspired by Woopak's list of favorite Lunch reviewers. Personally, I don't like to play favorites with people, but I do like giving out props when they're due. Now, I've been writing here on Lunch since December of 2008 and in that time I have posted a few reviews, although not nearly as many new ones as I would have liked. Rather than pick and choose Lunch members that I like, which would be a very long list, I've decided to shine the spotlight on their best reviews. After all, Lunch is all about interesting topics, intelligent people, and entertaining and thought-provoking reviews.
Please note that I have placed Lunch members in alphabetical order and that I've place a link to my favorite review by each of these members. If I've forgotten to include anyone, I apologize. I should also point out that I will be periodically adding new Lunchers to this list and therefore showcasing even more great reviews.

Great list & I really liked that you included links to your favorite reviews from each member. This is really good stuff. I can't say that I've read all these reviews which you referenced but this compilation is definitely food for thought.

Obviously, a number of these reviews are now gone since Christy, Trashie, and Wrestleanimaniac left. I haven't known what to do about that since I'd still like for people to read those reviews. Dilemma.

Yeah, I heard a lot of folks jumped ship. Even Woops doesn't write as frequently anymore. I just hate to see those reviews go unnoticed. I've read some of them & they are indeed worthy reviews.

Lately, I haven't reviewed anything but I do have some ideas for the near future. I can do a write up for Weekend of Horrors initially & maybe review some Argento classics. The rest is in the air. It's been awhile since I threw anything together.

Oh, thanks! Yeah, I don't visit ol' FB much but I will add you on my next visit. Mypsace & Facebook have kinda been pushed to the back burner on my agenda but I still do drop in occasionally.

Um, it's a bit of both. I'm the groundskeeper for a local inn so I'm doing mainly physical work, which means I'm getting a lot of exercise and toning up physically. But it also means that I'm so tired when I get home I don't have much time to read or write anymore. I mainly eat some, listen to some music and then fall asleep before the CD is finished playing. LOL!

That's exhausting busy, in my book. :) Sounds very much like my old life before I went back to university and to be very honest with you, I don't miss those days one bit :) The fact that I'll be graduating in January is giving me the creeps already. Just don't want to go back to real life where you have to work. Still, best of luck with the job. You sound like you're enjoying it as well and it's all that matters at the end of the day.

Yeah, I am enjoying, but I miss having so much free time. I finally truly understand the whole "You can't have your cake and eat it too" saying. I want to eat my cake! LOL!

Of course, you made the list. I liked that review in particular because of the way you sort of subverted expectation with the review headline and it was well-rounded in terms of balancing your opinions and information. I hope you enjoy some of the others here. All of them are fairly revealing about both my tastes, but also the kind of reviews that Lunch members like to write.

Flattered to be on this list, Sean! I've read most of these and they're all great reviews, so awesome list! I'd love to hear why you chose these reviews ;) And you're right, you haven't been posting too many reviews, what's up with that!?! ;P

First of all, I chose what I did based in part on the fact that they are all reviews on subjects that I'm interested in, but also because I think that each individual review is well written and a great example of the kind of reviews that can only be found here on Lunch. Secondly, the reason for my recent inactivity in terms of reviews is that I've got a lot on my plate at the moment and I'm easily overwhelmed. I have about a half-dozen reviews that I'm either planning, outlining, or in the actual process of writing, an interview that I'll be doing a little later on, a book club meeting that I need to do research for because I'm the facilitator, and I'm still looking for work. Sheesh. Is there some sort of magic solution for all that, because I'd bet that you could get really rich for a cure-all! ; )

This is a great list because it showcases the writing and skill of each participant rather than simply praise them (which is a good thing, too). Sharrie gave me an idea to make a list of my own favorite reviews too.
