Recently I splurged and bought a variety of nail polishes for my 10 year-old and her little buddies to share. Sort of a "Pretty Party" for the end of the summer. Part of my motivation was that our local grocery store had what I thought was a great deal -- Buy-One Get One-Free.
That product aside, let me say that this Revlon product -- Nail Enamel in Sheer Petal -- is marvelous. Truly, one of the best we've tried. It goes on smoothly and evenly; and it dries very hard and is extremely chip resistant. Even after you put on additional coats the polish doesn't get 'mushy'. And I couldn't believe how long it lasted on the girls' fingers.
As far as color, the "Sheer Petal" is almost clear and at least in our area would be appropriate for elementary school. With several coats it picks up the palest milky pink tone, so very subtle.
THE SKINNY::: This Revlon nail enamel is great. The color is so subtle that I'm even wearing it. It goes on easily and smoothly and is extremely chip resistant. I've been washing dishes and scrubbing counters for 4 days and not a single chip. My daughter's appears to have latest as well, but honestly she's taking it off and trying new colors so frequently that I can't use her as a 'datapoint'.
(The cheapest price I've found is at Amazon. $3.85 which is even lower than the grocery store's half-price)

I'm a fan of sheer colors on nails as well. They usually go on easy and never chip as fast as the darker colors. Thanks for the review!
