I’ve tried a variety of cover-ups and concealers over the years, but hands-down the best for coverage, color, texture, and tone is M.A.C. cover-up.
The cover-up consistency is the best! It’s liquid, creating a texture-free product that is light and blends well with the skin. With the correct makeup shade it masks any blemishes, redness, or skin tone variations without making you look like you’re wearing a mask or have a layer of caked makeup on. It’s natural and virtually invisible.
M.A.C. has a wide range of skin tone shades to match any coloring. I use NW20, one of their lighter shades of cover-up and I feel like it brightens and lightens dark areas of my skin (especially under eye circles). I essentially use it as a light foundation when needed because it effectively erases spots and evens-out skin tone, but doesn’t have that heavy look or feel.
The cover-up comes in a small plastic tube, making it extremely easy to transport or throw in the smallest clutch. The only drawback is the occasional loss of the small black top. The cost is $16.50 a tube. I often buy two or three at a time and keep one in my purse, one at home and one at work.
