Hot, humid days and sweat are killers for smearing eye make-up…. If I'm going to a wedding or something gets into my eye and my eye starts tearing up, I'm dead meat! Sound familiar? The scenarios are, indeed, endless and to avoid black smudges, solutions are the following: #1 Use a light coat of concealer under the eye with a small veil of any kind of make-up powder before applying any color to your eye. Foundations and concealers are very important for the longevity of eye make-up and for easier residue or smudge removal. Wait...let's back up! Don't forget the usual moisturizer and under eye product after washing your face before ANY make-up.... ok.... whew! #2 I've found that a quick way to solve the mascara issue is by either spending hefty $$$ on a good mascara or using fake eye lashes. yes, I know, I know.. Fake eye lashes can be a drag sometimes but it's better than having embarrassing raccoon eyes at the end of your night! Lashes are priced as little as $5 or $3 if you know where to shop. There are many sizes and shapes and if applied correctly, people can hardly tell you have them on! The best part: they don't run down your cheeks with black streaks and if you use a good eye lash glue, chances are they'll even stay on until the next day! ...no joke... A best-selling, waterproof false-lash adhesive is DUO. It's literally the best stuff (about $8 sold at M.A.C. stores). Just apply generously on the false lash lining with a Q-tip and then apply to eye lash working from inner part of eye to outer. No MASCARA NEEDED tonight, ladies! #3 For eye-lining: If you absolutely need to put on eye-liner, the directions shown in #1 are imperative. Then use a smudge-proof, and/or water-proof eye-liner or eye-pencil and let it dry for 2 minutes before departure. Note: Lower lid eye liner should be the absolute last thing you apply to your eyes. Upper lid eye liner and shadows should be applied before false eye-lashes, not after! Don't forget to add on to these tips if you have suggestions and good luck! XO!
