fun colors, retro happy style - great prices: what's not to love?

i took a hiatus from shopping at chain stores while i owned a boutique in san francisco. i thought boutique style clothing from independent labels were much more interesting. however - now that i've moved to a new city & have a new baby - i've reaquainted myself with the mall. and i'm telling you: J. Crew has some adorable clothes. if you love your colors bright and happy - then you can't go wrong. plus - nothing is trendy - just all the classics you can wear forever. i love the new designer and how the clothes are styled in the catalogs - with a really fun retro glam flair. i also own 3 of their down puffer jackets and they are essential: warm but with a chic shape.
J. Crew is my absolute favorite store out there. I get giddy just thinking about going and buying stuff from there. To me, J. Crew is the epitome of style. Headed by Mickey Drexler, J. Crew always seems to create the best version of whatever I am looking for. It can be jeans, khakis, a pea coat, a hat, boots, sunglasses, or whatever. J. J. Crew originally started in 1983 in New York as a catalog order fashion retailer. In 1989 it opened it's first brick and mortar retail store in New York and has now has over 250 stores and outlets across the U.S.
