This movie was just ok as far as entertainment value goes. If you saw the trailer you already have seen all the laughs in it. The premise seems to be the more a guy is into toys, comic books and basic collectible items (the main character likes to hand paint toy soldiers and rides a bicycle for transportation), the less likely he will ever make it with a girl. Steve Carell has a winner on his hands with "The 40-Year-Old Virgin." It's a raunchy, laugh-out-loud adult comedy that's worthy of multiple viewings. Unlike most adult comedies that rely strictly on gross-out and sexual humor, there's actually a message behind all of the silliness in this flick. You got to give a hand to Steve Carnell and Paul Rudd for trying. Unlike other movies, comedies are usually hard to rate or sum up when there really good (like Wedding Crashers) but easy to criticize if there bad (like this movie). The movie started out with a good concept, and progressed pretty nicely, but by the middle of the movie, I felt like the comedy just ran too dry.
