Violin
Violin
Nothing more beautiful than the sound of a violin. Plus as an instrument it so so portable, so versatile, and so impressive in the hands of a master. Wish I could play it!

The piano is a classic. I love the piano perhaps because I played it for 8+ years. It was a great experience and I still like it but can't play it. I can read music though and I'm glad the piano gave me a solid musical education at an early age. I love listening to piano music or piano/violin combinations.

Classical Guitar

This instrument combined with the two above is 'music to my ears', literally. I could play the guitar at one point, but that didn't last long. I prefer listening to it.

I love the piano more than the violin but that's probably because I was conditioned so since young since my mom plays the piano. Have you ever heard the music from Secret Garden or Vanessa Mae? If you haven't you might want to check them out. I love them. Also, Isaac Stern is great too!

Curious that you mention Vanessa Mae in the same breath as you indicate your preference for piano over violin! LOL. I have both CDs and Sharrie is right. They're fabulous.

Oh, because her preference is violin, that's why :-) For Piano, I like the new age music version of the instrument by Omar Akram & Giovanni Marradi. If you haven't heard them, do check them out!

I am not really into new age music, but I have heard Secret Garden. I love Vanessa Mae!
