These are my picks for things I would not be able to do without before birth and for the baby's first year. The list features everything from baby gear, to baby care, mommy care, and mommy education.
The most affordable plant-based prenatal vitamin, maximum absorption, easy on the stomach, vegan! Start your baby off on the right foot with great nutrition. Great when continued through breastfeeding! What mom doesn't need an energy boost?
See the full review, "Great natural nutrition for you and baby!".
Can't say enough about how awesome this car seat is. Pricey, but if you can afford it you should definitely try it. The safest car seat you can get.
See the full review, "The best of the best convertible car seats!".
Though cloth wipes are best, these are alright for on the go. Did my research, tested products, hands down the most gentle wipes you'll find. Chlorine free!
See the full review, "The next best thing to real cloth".
Do you know how irritable babies get when they are teething? Save yourself some sanity and get these, they are non-toxic unlike their over the counter gel counter parts.
See the full review, "Magic teething pill that isn't toxic medicine? You bet!".
The best disposable diapers, or even better - use cloth and save these for when you are out and about. If you can afford it, give gDiapers a try too.
See the full review, "The de-commercialized version of the disposable diaper".
If you want to try cloth, skip Seventh Generation disposables and go for these. After trying five different brands I think these are our favorite. They NEVER ever leaked, easy on and off, and fit so well.
See the full review, "Amazing absorbency and no leaks!".
Moms need sleep, dads too. The first three months will be a lot easier on you with the Woombie. Babies love the cocoon feeling! It is not constricting, it stretches with the baby, yet prevents them from startling themselves.
See the full review, "More sleep for parents worldwide!".
A must read for all parents, good to know what you are getting into if you plan to send your kids to public school.
See the full review, "Tackles the U.S. state of education right on!".
Find out what is in your household's skin care products and how toxic they are, especially your baby's and the ones you use while pregnant and breastfeeding. Since there are pretty much no regulations from the FDA, you have to do it on your own.
See the full review, "Discover how toxic your skincare products are!".

I've been there several times, but I don't really want to move there. Nice city though! I was pondering of moving to the Seattle or Vancouver WA area. You should make your own List though, it is easy! If you need any pointers let me know. We have a lot of cool stuff in Boston too, maybe I could convince you to move here ;)
