Hey, I came across your profile and got excited- my name is Anastasia too! As you can tell, I go by Stacie. I just thought it was interesting because it's not a very common name!! :)

That's really cool! It is rare I meet Anastasias :) I used to really dislike my name when I was a little girl, when I moved to the US I wanted to be called Stacy! Nice to meet you! :)

Thanks so much for joining the Cafe Libri Lunch Community. Hopefully, you will be inspired to write reviews or quick tips. Otherwise, feel free to sit back, relax, and enjoy others' reviews. Don't feel shy about rating or commenting on them either. The writers really appreciate the feedback! Let me know if you have any questions!

Anastasia, I had NO IDEA you were from Boston!!! I just moved from there to LA - I just wrapped up my time at Emerson College. I miss a lot of things there...I'll have to read through all your reviews to pine for my old city :)
October 22, 2009
Yep, I've lived here for 15 years, not downtown though, I am north of Boston. I always wanted to move but never quite found the guts to leave Boston!

Annndddddd 5 months later - I FINALLY wrote another Boston-centric review! You HAVE to try it!
Flour Bakery: "An insider's look at the ultimate trifecta: Service, Quality, and Taste!"

Thanks :) I love Trader Joe's, but unfortunately we don't have any in Texas! It's always a huge treat to go to a city that has one. Very new at Lunch so might have to ask you some questions eventually...

You're welcome! Yes, go ahead and send me any questions you might have along the way.

Thanks so much for your offer to help. When I put my book on my two flash drives and put the revised edits into the whole book I will be finished, than I can see what kind of trouble I can get into on here. What I would like to know how to do is to put my Lunch reviews onto Facebook and Twitter. When I did try, I did not succeed that know of. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Sure! First click on the review you want to share. When you have it up on your screen, click on Tweet This right above your review in the right corner. It will open a new tab or window where Twitter will prompt you to sign in. Once you sign in it will automatically fill in the "What are you doing?" status box with the name of your review and the link to it, so all you have to do is click Update and it will post it. Let me know if that works! Facebook is pretty much the same steps, or even easier if you use Facebook Connect.

It has been a long time, sadly, but I've managed to finish my review on genetic modification. It would be awesome if you'd gave it a look and tell me what you think of it
P.s. I really liked your review on mothers' day.

I do love racquetball. Thanks for pointing out his review!

I haven't been on in ages. But I must say I've already worked on that review of Genetic Modified food. Not done yet though, and I'm not sure if I can get it done in 2/3 days, due to a very long list of things I need to take care of first. That man, who drove his car into a crowd, in order to hit the royal bus, has killed 6 people. Wounding another 12. He died yesterday morning, I believe. Which makes me really angry. However, if he had been taken into court, he'd probably only get 4 years, maybe he would have been out after 2 years due to 'good behavior'. I seriously think the dutch court is too soft.

Don't worry, take care of your priorities and post it when you have some time.

Hey, thank you for the welcoming comment, and for reading my reviews. I'm taking my time reading yours (43, that's a lot :P) But I like your way of reviewing so far. Even though I don't have kids, that 'Kolcraft Contours Options 3 Wheeler' seems very nice. (maybe something that's bought in the future?) Anyways, a pessimistic optimists. Let's say it's raining. You will always have people who say 'darn, it's raining again. I hate rain! But what if it won't stop for the next few hours and we have 1 februari 1953 all over again?' (1 februari 1953 is the date on which there was a great flood in Holland) and of course always people who will say 'I love the rain! because it makes the plants and crops grow.' and after saying that they'll run outside to stand in the rain (or just look at it through the window). But I'm one of those people who will say (or think) 'I love the rain' then walk outside, look up and think about all the bad things that water can cause and the pollution in the water. Don't get me wrong though, I'm a really happy person, I'm just more conscious about things than others. I'll check it out, thank you ;)

Now that you've explained it, I think we have something in common...for example, I think it is great to have the convenience of running water (I've lived in places where there wasn't any), but at the same time I dislike the amount of chlorine in it and I can only imagine what other pollutants are in there...or I love fruits and veggies but the amount of pesticides in them and the fact that they are mostly genetically modified (in US) is always in the back of my mind...
April 30, 2009
that is so true, sadly. Fruit and vegetables are being genetically modified until they're not fruits and vegetables anymore. All sort of stuff is being dumped into water (also, for example, bread : some contain horse hairs) just enough that it's still legal and that we can't sue them for it. There is so much more in our food than 'they' are telling us, so much more than is good for us. But as long as nobody dies from it, they'll say it's okay and does no harm. By the way, did you know that animals (like cows and pigs) are stuffed with antibiotics so they won't get sick? That means that when you eat a piece of meat regularly, you'll get a lot of antibiotics in your body. And when a time comes that you'll need antibiotics, your body is already 'used' to it. That means it won't work and you'll be stuffed with chemical things to 'cure' you (and those chemicals have some nasty side effects. So you'll end up with loads of medicines to get rid off the side effects).

Concerning our schools the best education I got was from a young boy who was a neighbor though his high school years. I played basketball with him and tried to steer him in the right direction. After high school he joined the Marines and often wrote me letters. I almost wanted to cry as I read the letters that I would say were written at a 6th grade level. I cannot imagine how he graduated from high school. I hope he can find some training and find a life with the Marines. His high school and his family obviously let him down. It will be hard for him to recover.

Hi.....thanks for your reply. I really enjoy drifter and his intelligent reviews. I, too, have been working on a variety of reviews, but have fallen behind in my radio work by taking on so many interviews. I AM, however, getting caught up a bit, and hoping to post in the next few days. I don't know Vince yet, and yes, I think Lunch.com is a phenomenal new site. I'm so glad I was given an invite. I've been a broadcaster for quite some time, so do have much to say about that field and some of the exquisite people I've had the pleasure of chatting with. Take care and stay tuned....
