Istanbul is an interesting place to visit, though I saw what seemed to be a lot of empty buildings. I do recommend, though, the Blue Mosque (ladies, make sure your skin is covered, and bring socks...you'll be going barefoot). The Topkapi Palace Museum was interesting, but it was hard to see displays because of all the people. Hagia Sofia is also very cool. But you must at least make the trip across the bridge over the Bosporous to the Asia side of Istanbul, just to say you've been in Asia!
