Perhaps luck and taking risks were his biggest go-to games in films. Not all his films were successes, but what he did with King Kong and LOTR I will love his stuff forever. Nope, still didn't read the CNN article yet, sorry. :)

He really doesn't have much to say in that article. I'm glad to see that he's moving away from blockbuster special effects flix like KONG. Not having seen THE LOVELY BONES I don't have much to say on the subject. The negative reviews did keep me at home, but I plan to see it sooner or later on DVD. I certainly liked what he did with HEAVENLY CREATURES. I've been wondering if those who really hated the film were those who had read the book and went in with preconceived notions about what the film should be and what it should look like.
