How can anyone pass up Harry Potter? It it the holy grail! What J.R. has done is tap into a need in people to imagine something different. A world where the things you wish would happen, does happen. Heroes and villains, good and evil fighting it out. A must read for anyone wanting to become a serious writer.

Absolutely wonderful if you love children's stories.

Such great books when I was younger. Nowadays it's hard to read because the writing is for the younger people.

Reading the books growing up, I was usually the same age as the characters, making the books more relevant.

Great books but sometimes hard to follow as so much going on. JK Rowling is a very talented writer and keeps a lot of plates spinning in the air at once as she weaves her tales!

I was raised with these books, and "growing up" with Harry got me through many tough situations I dealt with as a kid. Definitely worth your time!

The Harry Potter series is a favorite of mine. Never read anything else by J.K. Rowling, but after reading these books I would, she's a really good author. I like that the books deal with real issues that a child in his position would face. It takes the glamor out of having magical powers. I think this drives it home to kids that having a special ability isn't all it's cracked up to be. There are responsibilities that go along with it. The plot is well developed and well tied up …

Great book. I wish there were more.

Stopped at the fourth book, between itself and the fifth of which there was a horrendously large wait. By the time it came out I had lost interest and moved on to bigger and better titles of the fantasy realm.

After Goblet of Fire, I read every single book in one sitting the day it came out. Beware, these books will interrupt your life. And you will love every minute of it.

Seven great books. J.K. Rowling did a fantastic job of writing these. The Harry Potter years 1-7 books are definatly ones that i could read over and over again. The first time i read book number one in this series I was hooked and greatly anticipated buying the 7th and last book. I'd say the 7th was and is my favorite of the whole series. A very great read and i for one recomend my friends and family read the Harry Potter book series.

I picked up Harry Potter out of pure boredom one day. I didn't expect much, thinking it's a kid's book. I kind of loved it! Couldn't put it down. There's a character in there that everyone can relate to. Probably Harry himself.  J.K.Rowling writes these books very well. I think it's great how the books literally and figuritively grow with Harry. They start out small, innocent, light and get bigger, complex, and darker as the years go on. It's perfect. …
