With the renewed interest (in the last 10 years) of The Lord of the Rings, I was amazed to learn that the legendary character of Conan actually preceded Tolkien's masterpiece. Howard is probably at the top of this particular genre and it is quite gratifying to see his work republished as it should be. The "substitute writers" some publishing houses have been using during recent years just do not make the grade. Here, with Howards original work, we see Conan as he should be, uncut and raw.
