I love the fact that Hercules knew exactly what it was as far as entertainment goes and never tried to becoming anything more than a fun series.

For me, the first three seasons were the best as they managed to balance all of the genre elements of fantasy, action, adventure, comedy, and horror. Later episodes tried to incorporate more comedy and even sci-fi, but it never quite had the same feel.
