What if those garden gnomes started invading our houses, and what if they had weapons? Suddenly property values start to fall as gnomes chew the infrastructure of our lives. And suddenly an everyday father finds he has far more than the everyday on his hands. Touching on issues great (global warming) and small (sons’ messy rooms), adding pitch-perfect dialog, and blending dysfunctional family life with dysfunctional wildlife invasion, this story’s just plain fun from start to finish. A great short story. A zany premise. And fun to read and reread. Disclosure: I got lucky and won an ecopy of this short story!
