For the next 18 hours, donate $5 to the Red Cross to aid relief efforts in Japan and Living Social will double your donation.  What a wonderful thing that they're doing!

Yep, it's a Lunch Public Service Announcement: get a $20 Amazon gift card for $10 - but today only. There's no catch - they're just buying customers (naturally there's only one per person - poosticks).      Click here for the deal.               Regularly, this is a pretty decent GroupOn clone that has deals for …

Snap Dollars
I joined www.snapdollars.com a few weeks ago and with very little effort have earned about $18. When I reach $30 they will mail me a check. There are many ways to earn money on Snap Dollars but the best way is to sign up for things. I use another email address besides my main one so that I do not get clogged down in case I sign up for something I end up not liking. I can always go back and change …

posted a Quick Tip about Paid Emails. October 30, 2010
Paid Emails
Along with Inbox Dollars Paid Emails (which I've actually received and cashed a check from), Panda research has caught on with the craze. About 2 cents per email, but how long does it take to open the email, click on the link, and close it? 4 seconds? That's 30 cents a minute, $18/hr? Pretty good while you're already checking your mail. Wish I could get 100 a day.   They offer …

Groupon LA
As many of you know, I **love** Groupon.com.  It is one of the sites that I look forward to seeing on a consistent basis.  Other deal-a-day sites I love are Woot.com and LivingSocial.com.  It is Groupon, however that is the source of my latest addiction.  I mean the deals recently have seemed like they are being targeted to me personally.  I haven’t had a choice but …

SlickDeals
At first glance, Slickdeals.net has way too much going on!       However, if you're the real bargain hunter, you'll appreciate what they've done with their front page. It's a little less overwhelming with deals listed from most recent by deal titles. You click on what interests you for more information, and voila! You've saved on some sweaters or a monitor or a television …

Goldstar | Go Out More
Goldstar.com - if you haven't signed up for it already, what are you waiting for?       For one, the site gives you plenty of ideas on activities that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Comedy acts, random sporting events, plays, local tourist attractions. The activities run the gamut and are perfect for planning some fun days/nights on the town!   …

I was told about this website a while back and it is pretty cool. Woot.com is an online store which sells one random item for a 24 hour time period or until the item is completely sold out.  Once the item has been sold out or the time expires you can no longer buy that item from Woot.com. Most of the items are pretty cool or useful and they are all at reasonable prices.  Checking the site …

Here's the deal.  My longtime girlfriend and I broke up in January of 2007 and I don't really like doing things by myself.  Long story short, I date a lot.        In Los Angeles, dating can get expensive.  I now have a significant JD budget line-item for specifically for dating.  Any money that I can save is of the utmost importance.  Unfortunately, …

Woot has a single item each day.  It sells it until it sells out.. and usually at a price well below what you can find elsewhere.    However, some days, there are woot-offs, where they sell a single item until it sells out, then they replace it with another item.  This can go on for at least 24 hours.  I've seen it last for days on end.    The …

Do you Woot!?  Woot.com is an online store and community that focuses on selling cool stuff cheap.  Woot sells one item per day until it is sold out or until 11:59pm central time, whichever is sooner.  Think of it as a highly-selective QVC.  In truth, most of the items you may not need - at least I don't - but it's still fun to see the bargains that can be found.

Goldstar | Go Out More
I have used Goldstar for a number of years to find differents local events to attend for a reasonable price.  I found out about this website at a theatrical presentation of Singing in the Rain at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center.  I paid full price for my seats at the box office, but the people seated next to us paid half price through Goldstar!    You can find all …
