This is a community for people who know what good food tastes like, but aren't above eating a hot dog or burger. ...Especially if that hot dog is wrapped in smoked, artisan bacon and that burger is made of kobe beef ;D
Despite the weird name, this is a very cozy place to get sushi, Japanese cuisine and sake. Granted the Menu is not as expanded as those ones that I have frequented but the quality is pretty good. If you look at it from the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall place, but the inside of the restaurant is pretty cool. Yeah, it is a little small and only seats about 25-35 people (not including the … more

April 19
A restaurant where the experience is much more intriguing than the food; the theory is when there are no lights, the sense of sight takes a break so your other senses can take over. I went here with my friend, and while she kept saying that she is enjoying herself, the experience in a pitch black area is freaking her out. Opaque is the restaurant where you have your dinner … more

RabidChihuahua posted a Quick Tip about French Toast.

Of all the breakfast dishes available, French toast is my favorite. I find it really satiating and tasty. When served with maple syrup and butter on top with a side of bacon and a glass of orange juice, it's the perfect meal to start your day.

I say don't bother with this place unless you are really hungry and on a budget. We checked this place out because we wanted to do a little restaurant adventure. Place looked nice from the outside, but looks more like a hole in the wall in the inside. Roast Pork looked like its been on the heating lamp for a few days. Dimsum was alright but not that tasty. … more
Avocado is probably my favorite fruit, because of the fact that despite being a fruit, it's an excellent ingredient in so many savory dishes. My favorite use of the avocado is for making guacamole, which is a perfect thing to go with meats like chicken or steak, and of course, as the ideal dip for tortilla chips.
Ever since I first ate this type of ice cream back in the early 90's, it's become one of my absolute favorite varieties of ice cream. Who would have thought that mixing broken up Oreo cookies into ice cream would make such an appealing dessert?

RabidChihuahua posted a Quick Tip about Buffalo Wings.
January 24
One of my absolute favorite "dipping" foods. I don't know what it is, but the combination of crispy chicken wings, hot sauce, and ranch dressing (others prefer blue cheese, but I don't like the stuff at all) just screams "perfect." I prefer my wings "naked," since I think breading can give wings an unsavory, soggy texture that makes it more … more

I know I'll piss off some people who only like fancy-pants food that's small, dainty, and overpriced, but I think pizza is among the finest contributions in the culinary world. There's noting quite like a thin crust pizza with pepperoni and jalapenos on it, with a close second being a stuffed crust with pepperoni and bacon. My favorite pizza chains are Pizza … more

The quesadillas and side nachos aren't bad, and the Mountain Dew Baja Blast is a neat drink, but the rest of the food at Taco Bell is just mediocre. Personally, I'd much rather go to a reputable Mexican restaurant instead like La Quesadilla and Mi Ranchito (Mexican restaurants in Northwest Indiana).

I don't think there's anything that can beat out hot chocolate as the perfect fall and wintertime beverage that isn't alcoholic. Personally, I prefer my hot chocolate with cayenne pepper sprinkled in it, as I think the heat enhances the sweetness of the chocolate.

RabidChihuahua posted a Quick Tip about Butterfinger.
November 20, 2012
Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger!! The only bad thing I can say about Butterfinger bars is that they're extremely brittle, so be careful with them when you buy them. The proportions of chocolate and the crispy, peanut butter flakey center are perfect, and the ideal chocolate "pick me up" during your day.

I was a little thrown off the first time I laid eyes on Pepsi Next. It came to my attention while I was in Saint Louis, and so my first, incredulous reaction was to turn to Kevin (my friend who I was there to visit) and ask "Did Pepsi learn nothing from the whole New Coke fiasco?" "That was my first thought too. It's New Coke all over again," Kevin … more

This may be worth going to New York (again) for! I mean a $ 69 footlong on a pretzel bun and has been confirmed as the most expensive hotdog on the planet! I love hotdogs so I'll have to try this next time I am in the Big Apple.... see link: http://screen.yahoo.com/the-world-s-most-exp...e-hot-dog-28868709.html;_ylt=Aop8lHZbnMSnx083cJbVCqpZc0Iv;_ylu=X3oDMTJkcGdvZHQwBG1pdANVUFAgUmVsYXRlZCB … more
When I saw the ingredients of this sandwich, I went out of my way to make it to Panera before the breakfast cutoff time. I was very disappointed. Though this sandwich has egg whites, spinach, tomotoes and pesto it was greasy with that same rubber egg whites that they put on Dunkin Donuts sandwiches. I was expecting fresh egg whites on the sandwich. My usual breakfast sandwich is egg whites, muenster … more
