What are your favorite holiday treats? I'm talking specifically about items that generally only come out during the holiday season. My personal favorites are egg nog and stollen bread. Anyone feel my pain about the six week availability of these goodies?

Fun question, Jay!

My favorite holiday treats that are usually only available during Christmas and winter are egg nog and candy canes. I recently started drinking Soy Egg Nog, which I absolutely adore. My husband is not a fan but both the traditional and nontraditional versions are fun. And who doesn't love candy canes? It's always exciting to see what new flavors the candy companies design. One year we tried Sweet Tart candy canes. Another year we bought Sour Patch Kids candy canes. There's always a variety to choose from. And of course there's the standard peppermint ones. Yummy!

I feel your pain when these goodies disappear until next year!

I love Candy Canes and Coquito (Puerto Rican eggnog type drink but, it may be available for more than the holidays, that's just when I drink it!). I don't necessarily like egg nog and I've never had stollen bread. I might have to try that before the season's over- where can you get it?

Too much sugar during the Holidays that I don't think I do have a fave--but--I do love pineapple glazed ham. I had some chocolate covered bacon the other day...no bad but it was weird to have a mix of sweet and salt taste.

Oooooh, I'm a big dessert fan, so I love this question!  I actually created a list of my Favorite Sweet Holiday Treats, and at the very top are snickerdoodles and gingerbread cookies.  Ginger snaps have also grown on me this year.  I love egg nog, too, but the Mexican version called rompope.  Since I make my own rompope, I can have it year round.  Great question, Jay!  Answering it made me hungry :P
