I love hot dogs and I was excited when I saw a Korea dog or a "bulkogi dog" on the menu at a place called New York Hot Dog and Coffee out in NY when I visited in December of '09. It was, as expected, delicious! It had beef and a little bit of kimchi on it and had a delightful combination of both salty and sweet flavor. It also wasn't too spicy, a plus considering my stomach can't really handle spicy food anymore.
The first thought I had after eating it was, "I want another one!", then I thought instead, why don't I just come back?
When I came back a few days later, I decided to try a burger version. Sure enough, it was as good as the hot dog-
Once again, that combination of salty and a little bit sweet.
Unfortunately I haven't found anywhere in LA that actually sells these items but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. I would recommend anyone who enjoys Kogi tacos to try these out if the opportunity arises!
