When a PBR just won't do.

I do love a good Stella, though I have to admit that a major reason that I keep ordering it at hipster bars is that I know what to call it (just say "Stella," do NOT say "Stella Ar-toos" or "Stella Ar-twa").  I know that I'll like it and that it won't be too heavy or nutty, just slightly fruity and light.  It seems to have taken its place as "upscal" hipster beer of choice (for when a can of PBR just won't do).  Case in point, I once showed up at a hipster Scrabble party with a 12 pack of Stella and everyone ooh'd and ahh'd over my classy choice.

I do have one beef with Stella, though.  When you buy it in bottles, it comes with a very stylish and very irritating white paper wrapper around the neck that goes all the way up to the cap.  You have to peel off a good 2 inches of paper just to drink your beer without getting paper in your mouth.  I know, it looks very cool and it's probably some kind of tradition, but I think it's a little outdated and a lot annoying.  Not to mention not very eco-friendly!

Besides that, Stella = Yum.

I love Stella too!! The guys I worked with use to always make fun of me for actually liking it and ordering it at pubs!

Love the ads, love the glasses. The tagline in England is "reassuringly expensive" though it never seemed nearly as pricey as the advertising suggested.
