A restaurant where the experience is much more intriguing than the food; the theory is when there are no lights, the sense of sight takes a break so your other senses can take over.
I went here with my friend, and while she kept saying that she is enjoying herself, the experience in a pitch black area is freaking her out. Opaque is the restaurant where you have your dinner in PITCH BLACK darkness--no light at all. Servers have night vision goggles and they are your guide through all the freakiness. It is weird when you have to put something in your mouth and you only have your server to tell you what is which or what. (you have to order beforehand in a lighted space by the stairs).
The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't as stellar as I would've wished since it costs me about $ 80-100 a person. This place is more for a feeling of 'something to tell friends' with its sense of novelty. I did have fun and now I know how it may feel to be in an isolation chamber.
It is literally DINING IN THE DARK (no blindfolds or anything)...just Pitch Blackness.
