Peruvian finger Puppets {hand-knitted} create income stream for Moms

I just found the cutest little hand-knitted animal finger puppets; everything from fox to turtle, octopus, rabbit of course, elephant la la la

I was compelled to buy a little turtle for my Minnesota Indian friend, and now I have to tell you why!:

Earlier this year my precious friend lifted off the road a huge turtle that had obviously just been hit by a car {and she couldn't bear the thought of it being hit again even if it was dead}. At first she was looking round for something to just move the turtle off the road without touching it but, turned out, the turtle was not dead.

My friend caught her breath as the turtle lifted her head, made distinct eye contact and that was when my friend saw....... a mortal gash in the turtle's side and, inside, a whole cache of eggs. Long story short, my friend took the turtle home and sought the advice of a local elder. She was advised to take the Mother to a wild spot on the lakeside where the turtle mother would bury her eggs. The turtle mother Passed and my friend buried the eggs, just as the turtle mother would do.

Okay, that's my profound Solstice story, and why my dear friend now gets a Peruvian mother turtle finger puppet to play with her newest granddaughter.

Oh my gosh, what a sad story. I loved to buy handmade, unique items like these for my children when they were younger, and love these kind of things for gifts. Plus, of course, this is a great way to support the artists and craftspeople directly. Thanks for your review.

Aw, that's a sad story. Those are really cute finger puppets! I love anything handmade, like the Dream Mullick jewelry.
