The American version of the first novel in J.K. Rowling's fantasy series.
< read all 32 reviews Looking back at the Sorcerer's Stone, there was SO MUCH planning that went into the series from the beginning. I honestly never thought I would fall in love with a book about witchcraft but I think it's more about just accepting people the way they are and having tolerance for differences. All of the Harry Potter books are good but I really do just love the first book.
This is a book where all age groups can like the movie. There's adventure, love, good themes, and anything a person could be looking for in a book. Plus the first book doesn't have as much fluff because it's the first book so they have to set the scene a lot. In a few of the other books there's a lot of Harry and how he's feeling for chapters at a time but not so much in this book. Also, it sets up future relationships and problems and basically just everything that will occur later on all in one book! I've probably read all of the books at least a handful of times but the first the most. Basically if you haven't read the Harry Potter books which just about everyone has, you should. There's a reason it's such a phenomanon and you should at the very least know what everyone's talking about. Great book :)
