I shave my head and face every week. It's quite a chore, and I'm always after something to make it just that much easier. Sadly, this product does not.

First off, there was almost no lather. Now, I do live in a hard water area (Phoenix), so that might have played a part. I do understand it's harder to get a good lather with hard water. However, the normal shave gels I use don't have this difficulty.
Second, the smell. Dear god, the smell! It's like some horrible spearmint raped some aloe vera and gave us some mentholated bastard child. It is very, very strong. Even now, quite some time after rinsing, I can still smell it on my face. It lingers and is just not very pleasant at all. Way too overwhelming.
If you like that sort of thing, this might work out well for you, but frankly just get yourself some Edge shaving gel and you'll do just fine.

I personally like the strong menthol scent of Alphagel Sensitive Skin -- the 'Fragrance Free' feature is a bit misleading. I even enjoy the way it can make my eyes water if I use a lot of it, but that may not be for everyone.
