I always recommend this book to clients; Nikki does a fabulous job of covering everything you need to know about parrots.

Nikki is a wonderful proponent for using positive reinforcement and operant conditioning, but she's got pretty much everything in this book. I'm not a nutrition or health expert, but from what I know, I think she's got that covered in this book as well. Parrots for Dummies is a pretty exhaustive look at life with a psittacine.
