Food
There is a VHS video of my little brother, at age 3, hunched over our old dinner table, intensively focused on chewing off every piece of meat off a soy-roasted pig’s feet. This was the late 90s, we had been in the States for a few years but not long enough to forget the old Chinese custom of enjoying different textures in what we eat. If you know anything about a pig’s feet, you would …

The Cover Store - Ornament Storage Bag
Last year I decided it was time to organize Christmas in our home. The biggest problem for me was finding a good way to store ornaments safely that would also allow us to easily decorate at Christmas. In my search I discovered The Cover Store, and just loved the Cover Store Ornament Storage Bags. They were everything I was looking for and I ordered two of them. I have been using them now for two seasons …

Scotch(R) Pop-Up Tape Dispenser and Refills (96-94
Wrapping Christmas presents can be a very chaotic event. I believe that all of us at one time or another have found ourselves trying to tear a piece of tape with one hand while holding paper in place with the other. Heck, even with the pre-wrapping preparation of tearing a few strips before actually wrapping the gifts can prove unhelpful if you're on one end of a large gift and the tape is just …

Scotch(R) Pop-Up Tape Dispenser and Refills (96-94
So you have here two different kinds of tape dispensers. One sits on your desk/table/whatever and dispenses when you grab the tape and pull. The other goes onto your wrist, dispenses the same way and is wonderful when wrapping presents! You also get plenty of extra tape.    These things are fairly sturdy and look like they'll hold up well. The tape dispensing is quite nifty and …

Scotch(R) Pop-Up Tape Dispenser and Refills (96-94
This pop-up tape multi-pack includes two handband dispensers, two deskgrip dispensers and a total ten tape refills which equals 750 strips of tape that are each about 2 inch long each. I have used the handband dispensers before and I like the idea but always found them to be a little awkward to wear. The band that holds it on your hand can also be a little tight for larger hands. But it is convenient …

Quality Park Reveal-N-Seal Envelope, #10, 4.25 x
I really like these as they work well with my printers and don't have lose strips of paper to throw away. They take a second or two longer to use becuase one has to unfold one strip and then fold down, but the time is worth it. The fact that they don't hang in my printer or are so thin that snoops can read anything through the envelope are added pluses.

I'm a whole foods kind of guy. The food there is a little bit pricey but you can find a lot of things there that you wouldn't find at most places. For example, I have difficulty finding coconut products …

Saving Max
Saving Max by Antoinette van Heugten is a frightening and suspenseful look at what a mother will do for love. Danielle Parkman has reached the end of her endurance with sixteen-year-old son Max. He's long suffered from Asperger's, an illness that is an autism spectrum disorder, but he's recently become violent toward her. When she discovered his journal with a detailed …

Home Office Reveal `n Seal Business Envelopes - Vine review    Amazon sent me a box of forty No. 10 (business-size) Reveal `n Seal envelopes for review. Here's my take on them:    I love these envelopes. Lightweight yet sturdy with a smooth finish and security pattern inside that conceals but doesn't show through. There's an adhesive bead underneath a bottom …

Quality Park Reveal-N-Seal Envelope, #10, 4.25 x
There is not much you can say about envelopes unless there flimsy, but like a number of today's envelopes the REVEAL-N-SEAL Business Envelope has a built-in adhesive strip which is a plus on my books but unlike those others, there are no wasteful paper strips to have to clean up afterwards. Instead, you simply lift a lower flap to reveal the adhesive strip, then seal as usual.    I …

Great envelopes made from high-quality paper. No need to lick them as they are self-sealing. While they may not be the cheapest, as the old saying goes: You get what you pay for" and these are worth every penny!

Quality Park Reveal-N-Seal Envelope, #10, 4.25 x
They're envelopes. They're nice-looking. You don't have to lick them. They keep your documents secure. And they cost half as much as the stamp you put on them. What more can I say?    I can be pretty nitpicky, but I have nothing to complain about with these.

Quality Park Reveal-N-Seal Envelope, #10, 4.25 x
These are great. The paper is nice and thick. What's best, though, is not having that little pull-off strip that comes with most 'no-lick' envelopes. Sure, that strip is just one small piece of paper--but multiply that by the millions of people who pull them off and throw them away, and you've got serious paper waste. If you're like me, you'll try to recycle the pull-off strip, but items that small …

Quality Park Reveal-N-Seal Envelope, #10, 4.25 x
Have you ever been unware of a problem or annoyance until the moment that it's been fixed? That's the situation that the Reveal-N-Seal envelopes have created for me. The annoyance? What to do with that silly strip that protects the adhesive strip on so many other non-lick envelopes. I never realized how much I hated that, until I started using these clever self-stick envelopes that have the adhesive …

Quality Park Reveal-N-Seal Envelope, #10, 4.25 x
These are good basic envelopes. The self seal design is good for one at a time usage. (a bit clumsy and not conducive to fast office work on a bulk mailing) The weight is a little bit lighter than I expected, I was expecting a bit heavier duty paper.    The original description did imply some sort of cool "anti-spy" technology (this is not mentioned on the product page) which doesn't …

Jet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
This is one of the best martial arts films I have seen! This is a film that didn't give into the hokey symbolism and fantasy that seems to be prevalent in a lot of the Chinese period movies about the late 1800's. Instead we have an honest story that teaches lessons about friendship and good sportsmanship. What makes this movie even better is that we are told that the film is based on a true story. …

Jet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
Jet Li's 'Fearless' has all the best aspects you'd want from an Asian movie: combat with stunning movies that shuffle the deck, ancient, wise lessons, and exquisite beauty that lingers on like a butterfly. 'Fearless' does all of this and more. The film focuses on a likable protagonist, Hao Yuanjita (Li) who is at the top of his "wushi" discipline, and so successful is he that everyone in town wants …

Jet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
What can us viewers do to change your mine?...O well I got to say that director Ronny Yu has made the right choice of casting Jet Li as Huo Yuan Jia, after Jet portrays Huang Fei Hong in his remarkable `Once Upon A Time Trilogy.' This has once again strengthened the image of Jet Li as the Chinese hero among the Chinese around the world. This is a glorified tribute to the famous Shanghai martial arts …

Jet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
Jet Li has been an impressive presence in film as a martial arts practitioner and choreographer both in his native China and in his US films. He has selected FEARLESS as his final film as a martial artist and a better choice of story for a final bow could not be imagined.     Based on the life of Chinese Martial Arts Master Huo Yuanjia (1869-1910), the founder and spiritual leader …
